... the ride and packed up and headed to lunch. Enjoyed one final lunch together then needed to say goodbyes and we left for the train station. Maybe we mourn too, for the people who simply never were, for their potential fathers were gunned down in Flanders fields. ... to Jesus. Last trip we saw St Peter's tomb and I didn't think anything would top that. Don't get me wrong, St Peter's Basilica is still my favourite church and my overall highlight from both trips. ... essentially garlic prawns and a Belgian fish stew. However, Nicky, the owner, first brings out the pot of home made soup which she ladles at the table. That's just how it's done! I even squeeze in a dessert, and then since I'm the only one there, pull up a chair with Nicky, her son and Chica the foot warmer for a chat, a glass of wine and a few language lessons. Dank u wel, Nicky, goedenavond!
