We left Niagara Falls via the Rainbow Bridge into Niagara Falls, New York. We didn't spend anytime there, but from what I saw the U.S. side of Niagara Falls is definitely the ugly step sister to the Canadian side. :) Road tolls seem to be the norm here. It obviously works here as the interstate is in excellent condition, ditches are cut and there is no trash in ...

Today we took our time and made our way from Bar Harbor to Portland. Well, it's been an awesome vacation, but it has to come to an end sometime. ... t quiet summer in Maine!

BUT, there were lobstah rolls involved!

Yes, plural, meaning we had lobster rolls twice today! Once for first lunch and then again for second lunch, as Marette so aptly named those memorable occasions! It was a very good day, indeed.

Lobster rolls are to Maine what fish tacos are to San Diego! And Mainers certainly know how to do their "lobstah" ...

I had a busy weekend of visiting high school friends. The kids took it easy, going to beach, doing laundry, and watching movies. Tonight Matt and his 5-yr-old daughter arrive, so the vibe will definitely change! This week the weather should be great. I hope to take the kids to a AAA baseball game on Weds night ...
