Our goal today was to head over into France once again via the col de Balme, on the border of France and Switzerland. Well me made it, but not quite as planned... After leaving the Col de la Forclaz we headed towards the hamlet of le Peuty, but somewhere along the way we missed a turn and ended up in Trient - this was after a fair bit of downhill... Up we go again and finally ...

Today after a nice lie in and late breakfast (ah this is the life!) we decided to walk further up the valley along the road to see what we could see. ... them up for wine after we saw them again at the restaurant below our apartment….or to be clear, they saw the myriad of bread being chucked down from balconies above to the waiting ducks below and upon looking up to investigate Talia saw them again! Life can be so serendipitous. But…as usual…I digress. That evening was special also as my cousin Angela was coming to visit!! After several texts back and forth, we met at the train station ...

    Howdy folks,

We woke up feeling refreshed and looked out of our window to see a truly beautiful view over the valley in Switzerland. We went downstairs and had breakfast on the patio and it was nice to take in the view in such serenity. We were definitely satisfied with both!

Louiselle had to catch a train to Lausanne in the afternoon, so she suggested that we go for a walk to the base of the local ski hill ...
