... by a challenge we headed up to the glacier. It took about an hour and at the Chalet, we stopped and had lunch - great salad made fresh from the owners garden with goat cheese from the town we had just left. Delicious! As we had come a different route, we had to continue climbing up to Les Grand Dessus and then traverse around the mountain to the col de Balme. The world famous Olympic Museum in Lausanne Switzerland was founded in 1993. It is an architect's dream, and hold both permanent and temporary exhibits as they relate to sport, Olympics etc.

On Thursday morning, we decided that going to Lausanne to check out this wonder would be a great excuse to get us beyond the Bouveret borders.

My cousin Julie Anne has lived in Leysin for 10 years working as a mountain guide and outdoor education tutor.
