... looking for skiing /boarding, a party, and to get lucky occasionally. Be fair to say its a target rich environment, in all categories. We got a lot of kudos because of our age, and that we were 'living the dream'. Kind of funny also, we went to the staff do at the end of training. It was in a nightclub. Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. My cousin Julie Anne has lived in Leysin for 10 years working as a mountain guide and outdoor education tutor. ... the strip of land is that juts out to protect the harbor) and had some fantastic views. Getting out there and getting back was a little harrowing, and we all got wet running the gauntlet back because of the surf that was going over the wall. After our little exercise we stopped for a relaxing lunch at a cafe on the beach, before walking up the coast a bit to the International Olympic Museum.
