... Feels like summer! Sunny and in the 70's, I actually wore shorts today! I attended a lecture by brother Richard that related the hero’s journey in Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Narnia.. .very fascinating! I also had a lovely conversation with the cute old lady who was walking her puppies. Why is everyone so nice here!

Friday: Mom comes today!!!!!!! I got to show her all around campus and the city.

... Katherine, Michelle and I went to Mother Hubbard's for lunch, a cute little cafe with four or five tables and a (get this!) Mother Hubbard theme. The soup of the day was vegetable, and I'm starting to think that the soup of the day every day around the entire country is vegetable. At any rate, I had a chicken panini and it was warm and toasty and yummy.

We drove the long way round so we could stop at a very old fort that looks out over the entire Cork Harbour. I spelled it that way on purpose… It’s the 2nd largest natural harbor in the world, second only to Sydney, Australia. Then we took the scenic route on to Kinsale. There really are sheep and cows everywhere along the way, and land is green and beautiful, even on such a windy day like the one we visited on.

... totally booked for dinner. There was a Sailing Regatta in Kinsale and there were people all over the place! Plus, Monday was a bankers' holiday so they all had a three day weekend! ... touristy, it definitely maintains its' quaintness and it is a real treat to spend three days here. We didn't realize how tired we were until we settled into the "Old Presby" (our lovely bed and breakfast) so we have definitely taken it easier here. Having someone make my breakfast and having to get up early to actually eat it is wearing a little thin, so we arrive for the morning meal at the last possible minute. Then ...
