Can't believe how much rubbish the crowd here can generate. When we emerged at 10.00 today there was an army collecting the mountain of destruction from last night. No wonder unemployment here is the lowest in the EEC. Sorry, no pics - believe me, you don't wanna see!

... hand is bustling with tourists but still fun and relaxing coffee shops with the usual assoftment of chocolates!

During our day in Brussels we joined a walking tour of the "old town" and walked, and walked, and walked - for 4 hours! - no need to worry about eating chocolates today ;) Extremely interesting hearing about the royal history and how it has influenced the government through generations.

... city centre, we tried some cuberdons which are apparently best known in Gent. They are cones made of sugar, arabic gum and raspberry syrup and are liquid on the inside and have a sugary exterior. You don't see them much outside of Gent because they have a really short shelf life. They are delicious and very addictive. I want some right now!
