Previous trivia question: What is the difference between ice cream & gelato?
Answer: Ice Cream is made with High Fructose Corn Syrup, heavy cream and 20-40% milk fat. It is also expanded 40-80% and frozen for long periods. Gelato is typically made daily with 4-5% milk only. It is much more dense, so while lower in overall fat it tastes at least at rich.
