    Our next stop was the St. Augustine Lighthouse. We didn't go up in the lighthouse since there was about an hours wait, but we looked around a little. The lighthouse is on the site of a watchtower on a map conceived by Sir Francis Drake in 1586. That watchtower evolved into the first Spanish lighthouse and then into the present light house.
