... and I went and bought him a new bike whose brakes don't work when you don't want them to work and vice-versa. We rode aorund San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. We made pizzas in his outdoor woodfired grill; cooked fish over an open fire on his Santa Maria Grill, and generally had one hell of a good time. Both, Marc and Linda are super hosts. I preferred to have stayed longer, but I had to get to LA in order to pick up my lovely wife and sister. ...

... our next stop. The story is here that this unfinished mansion was donated to the state who now run various tours through it. It is full of amazing and different styles and collected pieces built up over a number of years. Many of the items require maintenance and protection from the huge numbers of tourists that come through here – you MUST stay on the carpet or get yelled at by the security guards positioned throughout the castle.
