... we didn't make any attempt to see the city properly.  However, from what I have seen I was quite pleased to leave my experience at that, fair chance or no fair chance, and anyway I have not yet heard anyone say that they liked it there! The next day we got a taxi back to the airport and started our journey to Laura's house on Isabella island which involved: a taxi, a plane, a bus, a ferry, another bus, a 3 hour speed boat and then a taxi, but all so worth ...

... He whipped out a guitar and was like okay play me something. So I did, and he loved it! He gave me his number, told me he wants to record for me, and that he is going to set me up with a bongo player, and a tambourine player, and a backup singer to also play some shows around Guayaquil! What better thing could have possibly happened to get me out of this rut I“ve been in lately...it“s perfect! =D

Finally, being abroad is starting to feel like what I want it to be!

... the 4 of us had a rather average and overpriced tapas meal. After that, WB and Irish headed home and me and Katy went to the boardwalk for a quick drink. WB and Irish thought we were nuts to do this I think, they seemed convinced we were going to get robbed or worse. But it turned out quite nice, some of the fast food joints on the boardwalk are treat more like bars in the evening and there are plenty of locals out having a Brahma or 2. It was a nice way to end in Guayaquil.
