Today was a jammed packed one. We woke up and got on the road around 8:30 with a somewhat rainy start. We didn't stop anywhere for Roadside America because it was a long drive and we wanted to get to Colorado. Once we switched to mountain time a large fog set over us. It was so thick that water was appearing on our windshield as if it was raining. It continued that way for probably 100 miles. When we hit Aurora, CO we were both a little ...

... lost for only a short time made it to our condo at the Kahana Beach Vacation Club in Lahaina in less than an hour. When we checked in I asked if we would be able to see the ocean. A cow moose was grazing about 50 yards from the trailhead in the river. Ana was particularly crabby on this ...

... at the ever popular Village Inn for an early dinner. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous, paved road in the United States, topping out above tree line at 12,183 feet (3713 m). It crosses the Continental Divide, the east side of which all water runs east, and on the west side all water runs west. The views are stunning. On the way I got a quick view of one of my favorite animals, a moose.

After dinner we all continued west to the put-in of ...

... we needed to go, we discussed with her that it would reduce our time in Boulder. She had accepted this but we knew that it was a disappointment. Well, on our way out of Denver, we secretly decided that we would go to the mall so we could hold true to what we originally discussed. She was ecstatic. She had brought along money she had saved and made her purchases. She was also able to participate in some ...
