have professional guest lecturers, lecturing on topics related to
the Islands, and the areas we are going to visit in the upcoming

... was miles away from the mouth of the river. We drove out to the overlook and had some spectacular views of ocean, beach and the Columbia River Bar. After soaking up the sun and scenery for awhile, we headed to our campsite, which happened to be located right next to a marsh. The mosquitoes were voracious, lots of “skin so soft” made the evening walk tolerable.
