... next door for dinner. After an awesome meal (which they always are here, we would definitely recommend to anyone) and even more beer it was time for a chilly stroll home.


Next morning after a rather slow start we headed off towards Oamaru, although not before a satnav induced scenic tour of the surrounding hillsides.


So for scores (4 x 3) + (3 x 3) = 21. If you dont mind hills it seems like it would be a lovely place to live.

... Am Mt Signal, hielten wir, doch auf dem Parkplatz brannte Licht. Elena war sich unsicher, ob hier nicht die Polizei vorbeischauen würde. So fuhren wir weiter.

Am Parkplatz zum Mt Cargill Walkway fanden wir das perfekte Plätzchen. Weit genug außerhalb der Stadt. Kein Licht. Hier würde nie einer auf die Idee kommen, mitten in der Nacht anzuhalten.

... holidays, we are assured by a waitress in the Irish bar that it will get busier later on, so fingers crossed! Dunedin is a pleasant town to wander around with some big, old buildings and an interesting contemporary art museum but doesn’t resemble Edinburgh at all (we had been told it did by a Scot we met!?)
