... the cocktail party. More later. Nice time catching up with the DeHayes neighbours, Mojitos and lots of great nibbles prepared by Lou followed by really good lounge room chat with Sharon. Early morning 4th July off to the Hertz station at Portland airport to pick up our little Corolla while Carol prepared herself following a not great nights sleep. Something to do with snoring!! We had planned to reach the town of Bangor (Maine) for the night, but after talking to an (American) woman during breakfast at the bnb decided to drop down to Belfast on the coast, because of the better scenery down there. Going through customs was relatively easy, considering how hard they make it sometimes. Off to Portland we go!

Thirty-five minutes later we arrived in Portland and it was time to Yelp some places to eat by the water. We found this 4.5 star restaurant, Eventide Oyster Company (http://www.yelp.com/biz/eventide-oyste r-co-portland-2?osq=even+tide+oyster) which was ah-maah-zing! Clearly it was the place to be as we had a 40 minute wait, so what else is there to do when you have time to kill in an oyster bar? Eat a ton ...
