    Great trip down to Bristol, lovely air conditioned coach. The views through the Forest of Dean were spectacular. Crossing the river, over the bridge was breathtaking, as the tide was out, so you could see the extent that the river comes up.     Mary cooked us a lovely breakfast in her Aga. We also had a variety of fruit, including gooseberries from the garden. Mary had a long chat-- she has to cycle now due to bad eyesight stopping her from driving. We set out for our last day of walking at around 9oc.     We decided to do the washing again today as the sun was shining but also to go down to the Mere Museum. It was at the library, while Lyn was trying to look up old newspapers online, Lloyd, Clem & I looked at the old photos books & other information about Mere. I also found some interesting things on other places nearby where my ancestors had been a couple of hundred years ago.

    We left Merthyr Tydfil this morning & guess what the sun was shining. It was about a two & a half hour car trip to Mere, Wiltshire, England, our home for the next two weeks.

    ... about until now, and every now and then the walk would throw in a surprise like Chris Dyson's Dodington Estate, and the steepest uphill pinch less than a km from the finish.

    We also had the most amazing weather, and today was bright and sunny till the very moment we had our photos taken at the finish marker, and it started to rain.
