Christmas Panto'

... we have had since we arrived. Lots of laughs and reduced to tears in the end. I think the 2 kids may have also enjoyed it.
The Villain from Coronation Street and the star, Aladdin, from Hollyoaks. A pleasure for the ladies in the audience.

Great night.

End of term. 4 months in the UK

... form 2&3 choir is a great group who are very keen. Boys changing voices adds an element of difficulty to finding suitable repertoire.

I have enjoyed the teaching and the challenges but much prefer a balanced load of classes, ensembles and lessons if given a choice.

It’s nice that Rhonda and I work at the same place. Some days lunch together and then off in to the city for a coffee. Manchester is not as big as Melbourne or ...

... venue for next years Commonwealth Games - IF and I say this again IF they are ready for it..... Talk to some people and they say no chance, talk to thers and they say it will be ready, we have our reservations - certainly the most important part, the stadia etc will be complete but as for rail links, road infrastructure and everything else that goes with such a high profile event as the Commonwealth Games is concerned - not a chance.. But they don't seem too flustered - it is india after ...

How could anything be worse than the Ball Breaker? How? And yet it was. Damn the kilometres of bog, damn the no bacon butty truck on the highway, damn the twisty part where you go around curve after curve after curve and don’t see anything ahead of you but CURVE. Then damn the “ ...

Day 1 - The Ball Breaker

... I was walking on. They’d paved the path with boulders?! On purpose?!

This was when my leg started coming out of its socket.

The Greedy Sheep Incident

Pennine sheep are in some parts greedy having been feed by walkers they rather expect food now. They will sneak up behind you but if you wave a stick they kind of run away and wait for you to stop paying attention again. I asked Ryan (remorseless *******) to watch ...

Scouser's paradise

... enjoy early beers to get ready before the game. We then joined Anfield Road two hours before the game, to get some impressions of the pre-match athmosphere. Well except the wrong team choice (at least for me), everything was great, loud and nice athmosphere in all the crowded pubs around the stadium, plenty to cheers for (Liverpool was playing Reading), and great beer available everywhere.

The stadium itself is amazingly situated, its ...

Canterbury Tales and Northern Moonkays

... Canterbury, I'd backtrack to London and take a bus up to Manchester to stay with Sophie, from the Aussie East Coast swing.

Canterbury was nothing exceptional, I had a similar experience to Leeds, in which I was visiting a friend at the university and I'd be crashing on her floor and going with her to various uni bars and parties. We stopped by Canterbury Cathedral, famous for any number of reasons. The admission price, like everything else in England, was ...

Bury...still here

... female genitalia! So no fanny pack references... b)Due to the fact that a vast majority of the world's population refers to this sport as football...so thus shall I...it's no longer soccer :p (Football...with a pigskin will be american football) c) Here rather than use a boring word like really...they use dead, proper or well as adjectives (i.e. that's dead nice = that's relly nice) Cheers and have thyself a most wondrous day

... way I talk will be a dodgy mix of the UK accents...I can feel how excited my family is no doubt becoming :p...today was quite possibly one of the most thrilling of my life (well maybe not that exciting, but it's up there)...we went on a Stadium tour of Manchester United (I know that you're jealous now Jill :p)...Dave (my mom's mate), his wife Carole, their daughters Cathy( & an email buddy of mine) and Joanne and I went and saw the ...
