    ... br> Six of us ended up in a superb restaurant called La Verrière , just off the market square. We again had the Menu du jour, but Neil changed his main course for Moules Marinière et Frites! As he had elected to carry the rucksack, who was I to object!
    We then went over to The Fortifications, dating from the 13th century. Entered by a short bridge and main gate, it was then possible to scale the battlements and towers. It was very reminiscent of St Malo with its walled town. ...
