Erin had the Jagerschnitzle. They had a pitcher of dunkles and I had a radler. We we were not able to have dessert we were so full.

When we got back to the hotel, Larry and Erin went straight to bed both feeling exhausted. Derek and I stayed up for a little while.

We stopped at a fruit stand in Summerland to get gifts. Stopped at the border to give them all of our tomatoes and green onions. Stopped to convert the car's electronics back to miles from kilometers. Finally stopping at Leavenworth for the ...

... to Portland! Ah, I’ve accidentally told it to go to Dalles Oregon, not The Dalles Oregon. What a difference a 'The’ makes. If we take the exit back into Hood River, we can reprogram, and start again.

…. Our host last night told us that, as you head east from Portland, the rainfall reduces by six inches every twenty miles. Now we believe her. We’ve been running through ever-drier landscape along ...
