Historical Traveler Reviews Casablanca Inn on the Bay Bed and Breakfast Saint Augustine

Good stay!

from Clubberer

All in all it was a very good stay. The people are very friendly and helpful. Sitting on the porch, eating some self made cookies and looking on the sea was fantastic.

The only thing that made us to give only 4 stars is, that the furniture and the carpets are a little bit old and worn.

We loved this Inn!

from Like2travel

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Casablanca Inn for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. This a a beautiful inn with a great view of the bay. It was romantic and cozy. The rooms are furnished with antiques and have their own character. The staff was very friendly and even the smallest details were taken care of. Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to sit out and relax on the porch. St. Augustine is a beautiful historic city and I would definately recommend the Casablanca!

Fabulous Stay

Wonderful stay! Delicious breakfasts on the porch, wonderful cookies and drinks in the afternoon (enjoying the porch again!)! We could barely motivate ourselves to go look around the city, as the view and breeze were so wonderful at the Inn!

Delightful

from poocheroo

You can tell that the proprietors of this Inn just plain CARE. The room was huge, even though I took one of the least expensive ones they offer. They let you raid the fridge anytime for drinks - including vino! Yes! The verandah is a magical place to rock and watch the people parade. And I never felt fatter in my life than I did after eating the stuffed french toast with its soft, pudding-like interior. The owner very kindly told me how to make it. The staff is professional and knowledgeable but not cloying. I personally hate feeling hovered over, as I do in many B&B's. I am a tough customer but I have nothing but kudos.

Love the Casablanca!

from anonymous

My husband and I have stayed twice at the Casablanca Inn for our Anniversary and thinking about going back this year. We have stayed in the Anastasia room and the Vilano room, both were perfect, comfortable rooms, especially the Vilano with the deck outside. The rooms are clean, the innkeepers gracious and helpful, the view is bar-none, the beds comfortable and you would never know anyone else is there! My only "complaint" is that breakfast was the same both times we were there (a coincidence?) and was not very good the second time, a little bit dried out breakfast casserole, possibly the inns were full and breakfast was done in mass quantity... the inn shares its dining area with its other sister inns. If you have stayed at other B n B's and love a homey but luxurious atmosphere, you will love the Casablanca.

Casablanca is the greatest

from anonymous

If you want to experience St. Augustine, this is the place, hands-down!! The Casablanca Inn has superb service, accommodations, and the best location. Quaint, friendly, and very comfortable! Everything was great! If you want to relax and have a romantic time, it's perfect! My wife and I stayed there for our honeymoon a year ago. We plan on staying there again in the future when we go to St. Augustine.

I'm writing this review now, one year after our stay, because we just went to Jekyll Island GA for our anniversary and had a relatively lousy experience. I was longing to go back to the Casablanca the whole time!! Maybe next year!!

A wonderful place for couples

from anonymous

My fiance and I just got back from a stay at Casablanca, and we loved it. Staff service was great, breakfast was delicious, and we felt like we were by ourselves (definitely a good thing--we were looking for some privacy) even though there were quite a few other guests there.

We stayed in the Matanzas Suite of the main house, which had a jacuzzi tub in the room. Loved it! We can't wait to go back.

Top class

from anonymous

My wife and I have just returned from three nights at the Casablanca and were very impressed.

Complimentary tea/coffee/wine/beer available 24 hours a day, entertainment every evening on the terrace.

Free parking (which is a bonus in St Augustine), the spaces are tight though so rent a compact car!

Lovely breakfast every day and the most attentive staff I've come across.

Excellent, highly recommended.

Awesome Bed And Breakfast

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Casablanca and now we are going back two years later. The staff is wonderful!

Casablanca Inn - Romantic and Accomidating

from anonymous

My fiance and I can't wait to go back and we recommend the Casablanca in to any couple. The staff was very nice, breakfast was tasty, and the room was comfortable.

Unless you are on your honeymoon, don't bother to spend the extra money on a front room in the house. Stay in the coachhouse - each room has it's own balcony that looks onto the back street. Cozy view of other B&Bs and a cobblestone street.

Very private feel, esp if you get a room on the second floor.
