Monteverde, our favorite hang out
... the awesome guide that our hostel reccommended) helped us to see Quetzals (the national bird of Guatemala that actually now doesn´t live in Guatemala at all due to habitat destruction), Tucans, hummingbirds, and other species. We had coffee with Bernal in the hummingbird garden after the tour and spent the rest of the day in the hostel. We cooked our own supper and went to bed early due to an extreme lack of sleep.

A Waterfall Story

Ten minutes later they emerge from the lush jungle, rambling about some spiraling magic tree doorway vortex thingamajig path they found. I have no idea what they are rambling about. Soon we are all dangling off the tree, giggling again.

... the beach, there were a ton of people, markets, bars, and restaurants. For a sunday evening, this little town was pretty active so I was pretty stoked that I was there. I walked all the way to the end of the beach to catch the Sunset and then grabbed dinner before heading back to the hostel.
