      ... city - not under the control of any one specific drug cartel - it is a nuetral city - sort of like Switzerland... and there is a lot of money and banks in San Miguel - there are local San Miguel gangs apparently - but they are not a big deal in San Miguel - they never kill more than 40 or 50 people in a year in San Miguel, and most of those are other gamg members... in general, but not always, they leave the tourists and English speaking people alone... ...

      ... but a handyman could fix it temporarily. We complaint to the management company about this and let them know that we will move out at the end of September. Hopefully, we will get our security deposit back.

      Other houses in this complex are very nice and beautiful maintained. Casa #14 is on the market for sale and this could be the reason that the owner doesn't take care of it.

      ... that know them - do not want to have anything to do with them - so when they see a new person, they can temporarily establish a friendly but very shallow and superficial relationship with that new person... because, after a time, I have noticed that these are very isolated and lonely, very flawed individuals....

      they can lose their license (often laws and regulation and rules are not enforced in Mexico, for various reasons). The San Miguel taxi drivers are very courteous to pedestrians,
      stopping to let you cross the street if they see you standing there.
      I do not know for sure if that is just their nature - or it is the threat of the 3 phoned in pedestrian complaints that is the reason for the San Miguel taxi driver's courteous ...
