We woke up, went straight to the coffee machine, ate breakfast and showered. Uncle Rob was working, so we packed our things up quietly and prepared some road trip snacks. We had to leave at 11am in order to get to Jacksonville Airport by 12noon to drop our rental car off and pick our new one up. So I packed some chicken sandwiches for Aaron and I made a chicken salad so we didn't have to stop for lunch.

A late morning wake up around 8:30am, however Aaron was up much earlier and was already out watching the news. I enjoyed a coffee in bed prior to breakfast and showering. Uncle Rob returned to work today, so we decided to run some errands. We had to get to the post office and post some documents home for our passport applications, and post Amy's belated birthday present and some articles of clothing ...
... area, and certainly one to admire. The housing estates were really old and colonial looking with lots of beautiful moss tree's surrounding the streets.

... we sampled vodka and gin. The vodka was some kind of kicking mule concoction and was OK. The gin was - well piney! One sip was quite enough for me. A short trip through the shop and we were finally on our way "home" after a long day of sightseeing. There is a lot to see in St. Augustine and you can't see it in two and half days but we gave it our best shot.
A brief stop at Camping World for Ken to get something he needed and then we were home ...
On the way down we stopped in a couple of places we had always wanted to explore a bit more: Savannah and St. Augustine.
Sadly, while both cities are lovely and history filled, it was still cold in both as you can see from the few chilly poses.
