Just a bit of a 'summary' about this Florida 'layover' as I await departure day...I came a bit early to avoid any possible winter weather that might make cabin leaving difficult. This south eastern / Ft. Lauderdale area it is not as I remember it from years past / or else I never hit a school holiday period??  I have totally under estimated the number of people camping. Friday, January 27 (Chris' birthday) - We took a trip via dingy to the mall nearby for a few things. Sitting in the cockpit later the winds died completely and into the anchorage motors Bud & Eileen from Winnepeg on Sea Camp. We met them here in Lake Worth last year while we were waiting to cross the gulf stream and we've kept in contact. They left Fort Pierce today running into two squalls on their way.

Saturday, January 28 - Moonride got a slip at Old ...
