    ... This time it was a kilo of prams that we pan fried with garlic.....delicious! Skiing on my Etna was very good and the kids finally got to see snow which has been the unusual part of a European trip in winter ie not that much snow at all.     ... that our car is high, with the top box, and would not fit into the underground car park, there really was no easy place to park in the very crowded town. We ended up parking in a resident's parking zone and were very glad to see the car not towed away when we came back from lunch.

    Now we are chilling by the pool... this is going to be a quiet week.....

    We left for Sicily on Wednesday morning, 11 Sept. it was very hot and I had packed everything on Tuesday and left a suitcase and our 2 pieces of hand luggage behind. Luca is Sam's second cousin and his wife, Daniela who is Sicilian, picked us up in their new BMW and we set off for Sicily around 1030.

    ... I recommend checking it out. We then caught the bus to Taormina (it was a bit of a mission finding the bus stop but we found it eventually, if you need to catch a bus to Taormina don't go to the train station there is a bus station it just wasn't on the map we had).
