High Atlas and Magical Marrakech

... red tone with the early evening light, the lush green palm trees, the stony river bed and then the village rising slightly from the adjacent banks. The surrounding landscape was that of a vast rocky desert which stretched for as far as the eye could see. Finishing off with a stroll through the stalls that lined the walkway, all that was left to do was sit back, relax and enjoy another tagine for dinner. Oh and maybe just a couple of wines…

Train to Tangier

... prices our waiter was wearing a nice black suit and tie.

Having stayed as long as we could at the restaurant we decided to just head for the train station. On the way we realised we were actually quite close to Starbucks which was quickly deemed a much nicer place to wait out the day than the train station. Surprisingly it was one of the nicer Starbucks coffees I have had which was probably due to the fact that they had flat whites on the menu.

One of the most memorable trips of my life!

Morocco is a very special place and there was so much to see. My husband and I went in end of End of May - June1st, 2013. We stood in several different cities and places and I have included the hotel names in which we stayed.

I remember my first impression when I first got out of the plane was it was warm out, but not unbearable. It was colorful and I had a quick flashback of Puerto Rico with the palm trees and the pastel colored houses. ...

1531. My Last Moroccan Hike

A travel blog entry by nathanphil

... As planned, I'm able to follow the riverbed through the gorge instead of having to walk along the highway which snakes along the cliffside... much more pleasant... And finally, after passing through one more village, I reach Tahanoute... I reconnect with the hike I did here 4 years ago... and I fulfill my Quest: An uninterrupted trail of footprints from Marrakech to Toubkal... and across the ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Casa Taos Marrakech

Una casa encantadora y una hospitalidad fascinante

    from

    from

After the heat, dust and noise of Marrakech, Casa Taos is a haven of tranquillity: lush gardens, beautiful swimming pool and fabulously furnished rooms. And that's the bad bit. What sets Casa Taos apart from other hotels and guest houses we have visited, is the remarkable hospitality of the owners Isham and Karima. They effortlessly manage to make you feel part of the family whilst never intruding and always happy to provide advice and suggestions (or just a chat).

    Fantastic weekend in Marrakech

    from

We were invited for a magical mystery tour on a friends 40th. They hired Casa Taos for 14 of us although the rooms can be rented individually. What a lovely place! The rooms are huge. The pool is fantastic. The owner, Hicham, together with his wife and 8 staff were

attentive. The food (much grown at the villa) was excellent - Hicham ran a restaurant in Casablanca for 5 years. We had a taxi on call to take those who wanted to go the hustle & bustle of Marrakech (20 minutes) or we could just choose to chill. Highly recommended!

    Bien être et convivialité

    from

Excellent hospitality in most beautiful villa

    from

We spent our holiday at Casa Taos from the end of january through the first week of february '07 and enjoyed the fabulous hospitality in the beautiful house of the Charaï family. Everything about this place is still in our minds, the beautiful house, our superb suite, the large garden, orchard, the pool, the views over the Atlas. We think back with so much pleasure, we recommend a stay to anyone!!

    from
