... from different eras around the same theme, such as body, mind, love, hate and everyday life. It was a very interesting exhibition.

The building is also interesting.. It has a very stark industrial look. As you climb the stairs, you can see into both the ground floor exhibition and the first floor bookshop at the same time, through glass walls. The book shop is filled with a lovely aroma from a vase of lilies and has ...
Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina jenandtony... and nice places to wander around. Note: it's famed for having tango in the street but there wasn't really much of that, and the display we saw involved a man dancing with members of the crowd, so not particularly entertaining.

Weather news: really hot for two days then it turned positively Glaswegian yesterday. Big, angry rain. But clearer today.

Public transport information: the buses here are cool (and not just because the drivers aren't insane). Each ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina suzieandandrew... was pretty entertaining.

We stayed in this eclectic venue until the early hours and then left. Troy had been attempting to conquer the language barrier between himself and ballerina girl for the final hour, and as we
left he hopped into a taxi with her, while the remaining four of us who`d stayed till the end piled into another. It looked like Troy may get lucky. However, five minutes into the journey, Erica received a call from ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina alastair6... I think this was because Argentina and Australia have some pretty interesting similarities in their history and growth, except Argentina seems to have gone from crisis to Crisis and have and maybe overly idealistic view of the world. However the colonial richness, growth built on farming and mining, huge immigration especially from Italy and boom in the 19th century are things both Argentina and my home have in common.

Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina constantinople... Boca fans pulled out fireworks - it was brilliant! The match was only so-so I thought but I will let Ror write some more about that! We had a choripan before the match which is like a chorizo sausage in a roll - very tasty!

Info on Game;
The match ended 2-1 to the oppostion , Gimanese who were playing to stay up in the league. Boca were so so but they did have a few class players, most notibably Riquelme who has played for Argentina many times. He ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina sharorI was in Buenos Aires for a week and I loved it! As some people already told me before I left; it is like Madrid, but much bigger. Indeed I do think it is like Madrid, but it is bigger, crazier, dirtier and much busier. During my stay here in Buenos Aires, two historical events have happened already. First of all Argentina lost with 1 - 6 in Bolivia, which is supposed to be one of the ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina hansjew... and just north of Buenos Aires where we take a hour tour of the delta. Tigre was founded in 1820 and sits on a small island in the delta. The name comes from "tigres", or jaguars, that once populated this area. Antiques shops, riverside restaurants and pubs, and Parque de la Costa, an amusement park make Tigre a popular tourist destination throughout the year. Along the Estacion Fluvial (main ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina khillskiCheckout was at 11am, so I dragged myself out of bed and into the shower at 10am, giving myself time to pack and have some sweet pastries for breakfast. The good thing about having to get up was that I got out and about to have a look at the sights of Rosario before I left town. Only a couple of blocks from the hostel was the monument to the Argentinian flag. It was absolutely massive, and in the beautiful morning sunlight it was stunning. I ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina danasv... used to the States where things happen super fast--or a bit of both. Oops. Well, that was my lesson today: slow down. Without my classmates, I was able to saunter through the streets, gazing at the jewelry, scarves, mate cups, sandals, and other handmade items for sale--all the while wandering through the equally labyrinthine thought-world in my head. I could savor the sun, the 'real-life-statues', the m ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina sedebrouillier... you never get a second chance to make a fist impression. I loved Palermo from the minute I saw it. With classic Bauhaus Architecture, Modern remodels, Leafy streets and gorgeous people, you can't really go wrong. Though the trendy shops, cafes and bars were all closed in observance of Christmas, I did some serious window shopping and knewthat this neighborhood was going to be amazing. Though the sun still shined brightly at 8:30PM, I resolved to head home and change up ...
