Today was my brother's graduation. He goes to school in Ojai, California. It's a beautiful, little, lazy resort town near Santa Barbara. He graduated from middle school and I am so proud of him! The weather was perfect, like one of those you'd expect in Southern California. I used to go to school there, too, so I felt nostalgia. I had such a blast with my former teachers, though.
... to the 'liquor store' which was lined from the floor to the ceiling with beers, spirits and every other kind of alcohol imaginable and it was all SO CHEAP! I kept laughing to myself about it all which didn't help the view of me everyone must have formed already. Crazy English girl who laughs at liquor bottles and gets over excited about drinking from a red plastic cup!
Once again, luck was with us and we spent the night at the student's we had met house instead of on ...
... side and wheels of a GeeWhizz and no one batted an eyelid when I brought it in. Worth that peace of mind. I also pre-paid the fuel, like always, as filling up near and airport when you are late for a flight is a bad plan. I should have thought this through though as my total mileage yesterday was 40 and the needle has not moved a micrometer. Could be taking a bath on that one as I charitably fund Avis’s petrol!

... it off by brushing past the one and only Goldie on an escalator in Heathrow on the way home. Therefore it's fair to say we were successful on the celeb spotting front!
The baths are tiny,the food delicious,the people babes and the money is silly. The fat lady has just sang and Claaaaaaali baby 2012 is over!! Sad faces. Thanks to everyone who was reading and hopefully mini momo will be doing many more super dooper trips in the future!!!

Drive was through rolling hills for most of the way, inland and through a few small towns then through Santa Maria, Buellton, Solvang (You may remember these two towns from the movie, Sideways. Buellton is also famous for Andersen's Pea Soup - I know kind of an odd thing to be famous for...) We've been here before so just boogied through and stopped at a rest station to make a quick lunch. ...
