    Today was my brother's graduation. He goes to school in Ojai, California. It's a beautiful, little, lazy resort town near Santa Barbara. He graduated from middle school and I am so proud of him! The weather was perfect, like one of those you'd expect in Southern California. I used to go to school there, too, so I felt nostalgia. I had such a blast with my former teachers, though.

    ... lobster bisque, Al had clam chowder ..$7 each. Then I had Maine Lobster (1/2) and salad ..$18 ..Alister had prawn and scallop fettuccini ..looked great and tasted great. We walked back ..had a few drinks ..and caught up on the blog. Packing tomorrow morning before heading to LA About 90 miles away.... We have till 9.30pm to get to airport ..so no rush. Sad to think it is all coming to an end ..but will still be good to get back home...see Tara, our dogs and our bed! More news ...

    ... php It also has a bakery which is well known, so we stopped off for morning tea here. Coffee/chocolate milkshake and carrot cake went down a treat! See attached pics.

    We then drove to Pismo Beach which wasn't too much further south. Pismo was a lovely large beach with a pier. We parked the car and walked along the pier, and got to see dolphins swimming close to the pier which was really cool! We then walked to the beach, paddled our feet ...

    ... I forgot my goggles, so my eyes took a bit of strain from the chlorine. (Not that I could have managed much more!) I then relaxed in the spa pool (practically on the beach) for a few minutes before taking a stroll down the beach. I sat on the rocks and watched the most beautiful sunset.
