... in Antwerp. It is now closed but I walked through to the walkway above the harbour and sat outside in the (intermittent) sun at a bistro on the Scheldt for a hot drink and snack.

I wandered along the Scheldt looking for Sint Annatunnel to get to the opposite side but came across a group of Belgian men out on a Bucks celebration. The groom-to-be was wearing a bright yellow chicken ...

... basic transport directions in Flemish (Aansluiting metro!/spoorweg! etc). I know some colours and, if hard-pressed, can count in Dutch. I am making baby steps.

appeared that we weren’t destined to have a flying start to this trip, as once
in Heathrow, our flight was delayed by about an hour for our final leg to
Brussels. The BA seating for us was a
bit strange, as we were seated at the window, one behind the other. If the plane was full, you could understand,

From castle viewing we decided to continue braving the sleet and head up to the harbor which we were told was must see. On our way we accidentally passed through the red light district where the windows filled with women of the night (or in our case day) are literally lined with red lights. The harbor unfortunately wasn't that spectacular, but maybe it's because we've seen much larger ones in the states, or perhaps it's because we quickly left due to inclement ...
