Got up, had breakfast then checked out at 11, walked to the station and put our bags in the lockers then headed to the old part of Antwerp where we wandered around and did a bit of window shopping and chocolate smelling! Had a bit of lunch and got some food for tomorrow (as its Sunday) then headed to the station where we got the train to Lille at just before 4. Arrived in Lille a couple of hours ...

... Having already seen some sort of video shoot with a red carpet, we came across a horse jousting event at a Medieval Fair at the Notre Dame au Sablon. We came across a glass elevator which took us up to have a look at the Palais de Justice although that was looking horrible and under renovation. The building was absolutely huge though.

But mostly ...

After the station, the first stop while in Antwerp was the Plantin Museum which is the only museum designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site! ...

After a very early train from Rye (5.44, ouch!) I got to Ashford in perfect time to get on the Eurostar, slept all the way until Brussels. I found a place to sit down, have a coffee and wake up a bit before getting the tram to Israel's. All the places the tram went through looked very drab and dark and boring and not very pretty. A bit disappointing for my first view of Brussels! But I got to Israel's neighbourhood and that was pretty building, trees and shops. I had ...
