... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

... our nap, we wandered narrow walkways with stairs that ended at the lake’s edge – and lots of houses and restaurants lining them. ... really hitting home runs for us in Italy.

By our final day in Rome we were certainly feeling comfortable with directions, traffic and dealing with beggars and sellers. We ticked the last attractions off our list including Pantheon, Spanish steps and other monuments I cant remember but am sure seemed worthy at the time.
