        You know this travel is tough on a dog who's head of security. I had to spend most of the day in my observation perch monitoring anything that might approach my motor coach and I can keep an eye on my driver (see picture 1). We did end up in a cool park in Angel Fire New Mexico. By the time my driver got the coach parked I had run off two shady looking rabbits and a prairie dog.         ... tracing our steps, Johan stopped at a store in Santa Rosa, right on the old Route 66. One of the scenes in the John Steinbeck novel “Grapes of wrath” was set in Santa Rosa. We stopped at Joseph’s Bar and Grill, with it’s kitchy décor, listing to 50’s and 60’s music. He ordered a root beer float; personally I take my cough medicine with a spoon, I do not mix it with ice cream.

        ... under the cross. We stood outside talking until the stars were shining and the moon brightened our path. What a blessing. This couple has been married for 37 years and they had some wisdom to share. I was so blessed by Patty. I didn't realize how thirsty I was for some female companionship. She gave me words from God regarding marriage that I will never forget. We instantly shared a bond and I didn't want to stop talking together.
