    ... up beautiful fig jam!

A morning drive along the Albenga valley eastwards afforded us yet another magical view of the Lugurian hills. Our 27th anniversary was celebrated at the Blue Restaurant, complete with a Ferrari (no, not the car …. more like a wonderful cremant), on the waterfront at Albenga. I've never felt the urge to go to Italy until I started researching it for my Bucket List. It is really pretty and I've always wanted to own a winery, or at least ride on horseback like they did in the movie Parent Trap. After much research on Italy, I decided to book a flight to Barbaresco, Italy. It is in Piedmont, Italy, and is abundant with wineries. How ...

... sure if it is the same in all of Italy) you have to wear not only the budgie smugglers in the pool but everyone needs to wear a swimming cap. We haven't braved this yet and not sure if we will. Jess had a bit of work to catch up with so I took the girls for a bit of a walk down to the sea, picking up an ice cream on the way of course. The beach was one of the strangest things I have ever seen. There was a small area that was obviously open to anyone and ...
