Cidade Maravilhosa
We arrived to our hotel on Copacabana Beach the Friday afternoon before the Sunday marathon. We had decided to remain low key for the next day to rest for the race, only leaving Copacabana to pick up our race packets downtown. Todays Blog from Brazil :)
We have arrived! Took us nearly 2 years to get here!
First visit was to see the big J in Corcovado. This took us about 2 hours to walk up too...Everyone had fun. The views were really rather good; but the amount

Today was moving day to our new hostel ´casa 579´ in Santa Terassa. Before we left we did a final walk to Lapa stairs, our favorite hang out to take some pics. I do love it there! We checked in, meet some new people and went to dinner at a local restaurant which serves ridiculous sized …

Great location, not in the centre of Rio, but in the real Rio among the locals, great views of the whole city and great views at night time of Christ and the city all lit up, staff are very friendly and helpful, would definetly recommend this hostel.
