... in the rainstorm yesterday, today was positively overwhelming. There were several rainbows and it was just beautiful. I am so glad I was able to do the return visit.

Now, time to start our long journey home - pick up for the airport here in Igaucu is 2:00 pm and we should be back in Mendham by 9:00 am tomorrow.

29 June 2014 I feel very sad....we have been in Argentina for 2 days and we have not had a steak OR a Malbec :( we decide to remedy this even on dodgy tummies at lunchtime before we catch our flight to Iguazu, probably not the wisest thing to do 'pre-flight' but desperate times call for desperate measures! Aerolineas Argentina was a great airline, on time, efficient airport at Salta, clean banos, even the small plane seems brand new, as long as the pilot isn't...happy ...

... The roar and sheer power was something to behold even although Niagara is more forceful, it didn't have the ferocity of Iguassu. It was strange to move further away from Devil's Throat and look back to yesterday's viewing of the Brazilian side and see our hotel perched up on the ridge. Here are a few things about Brazil that may come in handy. Things that we didn't know before hand or couldn't have known until we got there. Obviously Brazil is an amazing place and after Venezuela it was very easy to let your guard down, but you can't. - Avoid going out on Sunday mornings, especially in big cities. You need to make sure there is plenty of people about, otherwise you become a target, local and tourist alike. - Avoid being out late in the evenings in big cities. ...

... falls as power boats and rafts drifted down the river. With it being Carnaval weekend there was a great atmosphere in the town.
