... 200k) and biggest in Cuba. It was very muddy. It looked like the Limpopo. We could have a boat ride for 5CUCs before or after lunch. We chose after and settled into a Pomelo rum punch drunk out of an actual Pomelo, while we waited for them to set up.
It was quite an interesting lunch as the soup was served in a bamboo cane sliced in half.

Baracoa was an island reached only by boat until the 1960s when a causeway was built, connecting it to the mainland. The region was therefore isolated and combined with a wetter microclimate means, it became known for both unique Cuban cuisine and chocolate making. ... petrol over a hot exhaust with the car still running, fish being carried in the hot sun, an engine casing just lying on the beach surrounded by acres of rubbish. The swim was divine the river a delightful temperature and very clear and clean. Where we swam they had a pump house which supplies the town with fresh water. ... und alles gegeben. Ich habe mich in der hinteren Reihe verdrückt und es absolut genossen den Tänzern...äh...Tanzpaaren zu zuschauen und mich mit Roger, Hanna und Laura zu unterhalten, welche wir hier spontan wieder trafen. Okay, da das Ausgangsangebot in Baracoa nicht das Grösste ist, war es unvermeidbar. Ein wahrlich lustiger Abend mit vielen verwickelten Geschichten, welche sich auch später nicht richtig auflösen wollten. Was in Kuba passiert, bleibt in Kuba.

... lunchtime, we departed for Finca Rancho Toa to enjoy a relaxing meal and some music. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the pleasantly fragrant smell of roasting food. My mouth IMMEDIATELY began to water. Typically, I am not a huge fan of pork, but the Cubans really know how to cook it (right photo)! The meat was incredibly succulent and packed with flavor.
