Home again This morning we awakened to the sound of rain beating on the cabin. A look outside shows bleak surroundings. We are the only transient boat at Casper's Marina. The weather threatens to keep us here unless the front passes over us and we can get ahead of the rain. Maggie goes to shower and I focus on what the weather is doing. If today is looking bad, tomorrow is even worse, with gusty 20 kt northerly winds, cold temperatures and choppy seas. Ugh! I ...

We found an awesome trail that was actually about 20miles long, so we picked a spot to start and ...

... not a hardship when it's sunny. The closer we got to Wrightsville the more boat traffic we encountered it was like a lake in the summer, we had tubers go right I front of us do they not see we are big! I loved this narrow passage way but for navigating you had to really watch the depth there were sand bars all over. The locals would drive their boats right up onto the sand bar and play in the water or fish.

We stayed at the Seapath Marina ...

... the problem and what you are doing to fix it really goes a long way. Oftentimes, environmental concerns are too abstract for the common person because the issue or concern is happening thousands of miles away from them. I can tell you right now many people in Kansas do not understand how their actions affect the ocean.

Every time you put fertilizers on your lawn, or drain your pool, or wash your car, ...
