          ... see the water plumes of whales not far off the beach. Difficult to actually see the whales even through the telescopes at the visitors centre. Provincetown has been the highlight of our time in Cape Cod, quite old but with new life from the gay community and bohemian themes, and another great place to scoff lobster!

          ... rain, which gave us another flavor of the magic places, we read about when JFK was our 35th president.

          Observation: Living out west all our lives, we had no inkling of the places we studied in Bud Murray’s American History class! What a blessing to be able to experience them now! We are driving up the Cape today, headed to Nantucket tomorrow and I can’t wait for Plymouth Rock on Wednesday!

          ... I go to the cape for the summers" vs "I summer in The Cape." Nevertheless, I still like the thought that he thought it was snobbish. If I have the good fortune to have wonderful friends who will have us over year after year, others can call me a snob. =)

          We were going to have to miss this new tradition for the second time. Last year, we had it all planned out to come out to Cape Cod (excuse me, Chatham - Athena would insist that ...
