    We headed toward the locks on the Erie Canal. We first had to lock through 7 locks in Oswego off of Lake Ontario to begin our journey down the Erie Canal.     Traveling north from Doylestown area to the state line, I chose the freeway. My "goat trail" trips through the last set of mountains were slow and at times painful.
