      So away we go...well kind of. Thanks to my superior planning we puttered to the nearest gas station to fill up our very thirsty little red wagon at 8:00am sharp. Although we just bought BCAA (also known as 'Nicky Fault Coverage' as I have a bad track record of locking keys in the car), Rob would not have been impressed with me if we needed to call them for gas at the bottom of our drive way! But, we made it!

      We're all packed! It looks like we have a lot of stuff, but most of it will be given away in Peru. We've got lots of books, games and socks to take to Cusco. We're so excited for tomorrow! Our biggest challenge is trying to sort out this Blog.  This entry is our test.  Fingers ...

      ... barricades, the White Sands Missile Range and all the missiles on display, Santa Fe's downtown, historic route 66, corner of Winslow Arizona.... must stop or will never finalize this journey.

      It was a great first long trip and the lessons learned (many listed in my last post) really weren't huge all things considered. Denis posted some statistics to facebook and I will post a few more here because I like statistics.

      ... reeled in a smaller 8-10 lb one. It was great fun.

      Temple arranged for us to have the smaller one for dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf back in Victoria. He filleted it for us and we dropped it off at the restaurant as well as the larger one. He got to have that one as it was too big for us. We think he would have got paid for it by the restaurant but we don't mind as he was good on the trip.
