I only had an hour of daylight left and really wanted to go see the headwaters of the Mississippi River so I jumped back into CC and started on the wilderness drive circle around the park to the source.

Day 2: Chicago, IL - Lake Itasca State Park, MN

A lot of people have asked me if anyone is with me on vacation. No, but I'm not by my self.... I have CC and the polar vortex to keep me company. It looks as though the polar vortex is following me all the way down to New Orleans, LA. Perhaps I can pick up a tail wind off of it and CC can get some better gas mileage.

... Mississippi and continued on the I-94 through the suburb towns/cities till we found a rest area on the other side to stop at and determine the next route. The skies had brightened, thankfully, as we neared St. Paul and by the time we got to the other side of Minneapolis it was lovely and warm.
