... impression of downtown Nashville failed to charm me. One bar after another filled with tourists listening to all manner of ensembles playing mostly cover songs in four hour shifts for around $50 in tips. It's like busking indoors. One funny thing that did happen in the cab - I decided to get out a map of Washington just to see the distance between the two airports and after studying it for a couple ...

... Memphis Grizzlies play basketball and St. Jude's Hospital.

Lots of trucks on I-40 between Oklahoma City and east of Memphis. In all the travels over many years, I don't think that I have ever seen that many trucks on the road at one time. Lots of commerce on these roads!

Now, in the hotel and off to dinner to try a place that an alum from Vanderbilt suggested. So, catch you up from Blue Ash for my last entry.

See you all soon!
