DAY 9 - COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME

A travel blog entry by peter-linda on Sep 02, 2014

We walked through the Farmers Market on our way to Downtown Nashville, a short 20 min stroll.

We had lunch at the Tootsies World Famous Orchid Lounge, which is a Honky Tonk Bar located on Broadway, Nashville. We shared Nachos & beer listening to country music live and singing along. The singer did a rendition of Slim Dusty's "I've Been Everywhere Man". The whole show was being streamed live on Tootsies.net ...

So tactical orders from me and Lois saw us have pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and brisket on our two plates, just for research of course so ...

... security is tight today being September 11 and all. We land in Nashville, check in at motel and off we head to downtown Nashville. There is live music in nearly every bar and good busking on the streets as well. The weather is much like we are used to so it sort of feels like home but much livelier. There are about six boots shops in one block and more as you go down Broadway. We look around, listen to music and tip the buskers before stopping off at Jimmy ...
