... Julia, Luke and Allie. Allie had just turned 6 the day before. Julia was into rainbow bracelets and was nice enough to make me one. Remember, I ONLY have boy grandchildren. I was thrilled!

Once we left their home, we headed to La Jolla to see the seals, but since it was a four day weekend, there wasn't a parking space to be had anywhere near, so we ended up heading home.

All in all it was a nice weekend.

... San Diego is known for its microbreweries and we checked out one of them - Acoustic Ale tasting room. I generally don't like beer at all, but the nice waiter let me try a few of them for free and so I was able to choose one that wasn't all too bitter.

... Do not mix well. Aaron and I then toddled off to Belmont Park at Mission Beach, it's an old school style arcade board walk. There wasn't must happening there and I think it would be better at night. Grumble bum didn't want to be there so we left early. It was a really long nice looking beach- there is a cement path all the way along, heaps of fit bodies running up and down. The town was founded in 1885 but by 1888 it was a major tourist location and its first Hotel Del Coronado was operating.
