... I better go outside to ask if it was okay to stay here. By the time I got out he had vanished and place a ticket on our car! It turned out the ticket was for facing the wrong way on the street at night time, but feeling uneasy about the whole situation we sucked it up and went to a local campsite. Still the campsite was pretty nice, and even had a badminton court to get involved in the next morning, so can't complain too ...

... to the hotel, and the other three of us stopped at Carmel Bistro Giovanni for a coffee and Sambuca. Kelly and I went back out and walked to the beach just in time to catch the tail end of the sunset - beautiful! Then it was to the Jack London Bar & Grill for one last drink while he read and I worked on my blog. Back at the hotel I sat out by the outdoor fire pit and typed on my laptop - what a great place this is! I could get used to this.

... cells typically measured 9 feet by 5 feet and 7 feet high. The cells were primitive , with a bed, a desk, and a washbasin and toilet on the back wall. D-Block housed the worst inmates and five cells at the end of it were designated as "The Hole", where badly behaving prisoners would be sent for periods of punishment, in solitary confinement. We pop Dylan inside one of these cells for a photo - the ultimate time out - solitary confinement on Alcatraz.
