... but now has been thoroughly gentrified.

On the way there, we stopped off at Christ Church Cathedral for a moment of quiet and meditation. A haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of a beautiful city.

Now after a quick dip in the pool and a satisfying stint in the sauna, we are settling down to our favourite meal of pain, vin, et Boursin, and various other delicacies to round out our hotel room picnic.

... that goes along the shore for ten miles or so. We were amazed at the number of beautiful homes on this road - wondered if some of them are summer homes for people who live in other cities, or if Victoria's economy is REALLY booming!

... masks, gloves, etc. What I'm most excited to start packing is the toys I've bought (and the ones I still need to buy!) for the children at the orphanage. I can't wait to see the looks on all their faces when I bring them a suitcase full of goodies!

... very cool. We also nearly took out a deer as he jumped in front of us from nowhere. We then headed to Cathedral Grove to see the massive cedars which grow there. These trees are very impressive and huge. We had a nice walk around the park and really enjoyed seeing the impressive natural environment in which they were.
