The final comment was about the dogs. Amundsen donated a number of his remaining dogs to another Antarctic expedition which was going from Australia. A number of the British dogs were adopted in New Zealand, including one by the Mayor of Christchurch.

At the end of the park, we looked for Canada's Tallest Totem Pole. I had seen it on the bus tour and wanted to see it up close this time. After taking some pictures, we took a short walk through some woods and ended up on Dallas Street.
