... s list, which was actually more of a cider house than a winery. It was called Merrivale. Sadly, both myself and Marion were in need of an afternoon nap by this stage and so we don't know how good this one may have been as with the rain pouring down we called it a day and headed back to Chez Wright. On our hunt for the elusive Orca's we went past the San Juan Island, Orca Island and Trial Island (So named because if you were able to navigate around the Trial Island then you were deemed to be proficient enough to Captain a boat. For golfers, the drive goes through the Victoria Golf Club which appears to have some gorgeous holes out into the ocean. I used to golf with someone who is a member there and when I checked his address, it appears to be in the Uplands area, which is the neighbourhood I described above. ...
