      ... at New River Inlet while we proceeded to the Surf City Bridge. We were making miles and Otto was driving (Otto is our faithful autopilot). Out of the blue, Otto decides to make a 90 degree left turn. The channel here is pretty narrow so Otto was quickly relieved of his duties and hand steering took over.       We found a nice little library in New Bern and did some work in the morning before deciding it was time to get off our butts and start moving. The Croatan National Forest was right nearby and it was a good day to do a little hiking. The hiking is definitely not as challenging as it was in the Appalachians but anything to get moving again is worth it.       ... and snatched up a fish just like that...then he walked gracefully off the dock.
