    ... the town being busy because it is to be a holiday weekend, Halloween, Harvest, Columbus Day?
    Observations? We have not seen much bird life so far.Petrol/gasolene is not as cheap as it used to be, ranging from $3.15 -$3.50+ per US gallon.Many Americans eat out all the time and breakfasts tend to be huge.Tipping is an expectation in restaurants and motels.Tourist spots are not well signposted.Driving is easy and the standard of the roads is good in general.

    ... then went across the street to the Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park. Both are a must see if visiting the area. The town has lots of galleries, cute shops and wonderful restaurants. The Woodstock Inn has a beautiful Trent Jones golf course, spa, & racket facility. Only one night here then driving down to North Adams, Mass tomorrow to get on the Mohawk Trail and drive across the state to Boston. So sad to ...
