... until lunchtime. Even though there were armed military police patrolling up and down on quad bikes. What could possibly go wrong? I started reading a book about Patagonia, but gave up after about 24 pages and opted for ******* about in the sea instead. Tonight I look like a full blown lobster: legs, arms, face. Here's hoping it seriously dies down a bit tomorrow.

Chichen Itza was very touristy and damn hot the day we visited, which took away from the experience a little, but it was still amazing to hear how the main temple was built to align with the sun - at a certain time of the year the temple is in exact alignment with the sun to light up the image of a serpent down one edge of the pyramid, amazing how they did that back ...

Day 80 - Cancun hotel zone

... food was great. At one point a lady came out selling orange jelly shots that were made in an orange skin so it looked like a cut orange, we had one each and while you chew it and try to get it down (which took a while because the jelly was really hard) the lady blows a whistle and rubs your head, shakes your head and does all kinds of crazy stuff to you, she even pulled up my shirt and squeezed my nipples, and with Bobbie she jiggled her boobs. ...
