Belgium is a favourite so far! The town is beautiful - feels like we're in a storybook. Poppies are everywhere. There is evidence all over town of John McCrae's poem. Today we had a few hours of free time so Josh and I took in the Flander's Field Museum and sought out some Belgian chocolate - so good! ... were sitting with some of our number drinking beer. We dumped our bags and joined them. The pace of the weekend has now slowed and the frantic need to see everything has dissipated.

It was enough to sit and chat and watch the little old lady walking in front of the massive digger... totally oblivious of the huge construction vehicle bearing down on her whose driver was gesturing wildly for her to move.
She didn't, so he had to wait.
