... minute highlight cruise.

Looking for lunch proved more difficult than we expected - the market square was the most expensive place in town to eat, with not much below 20 euro each, but we had spotted a gourmet burger place on one of the lesser squares on the way, and it proved to be a winner. Gourmet burgers and fries all round, with home brewed iced tea.

We found a great spot and had a fantastic meal - Jon had a local specialty, beef stew cooked in dark beer, and, Maja another specialty, mussels. Jon says she ate all the mussels in Brugge. They were garlic... The next morning we started our day with a ...

... for lunch at a place recommended on Tripadvisor called "Books and Brunch". It was a little out of the market square central region, but only around 10 minutes walk and any walking through back streets is an adventure here to be enjoyed. It was a small two storey cafe with books lining the walls in neat sections and a simple organic menu. You could read the books whilst you ate or drunk a coffee or wine/beer, and if you ...
