... just around the corner for dinner.

We followed Arne's directions and sure enough, Tom's Diner was in the middle of a residential street, and one we would have never found without his guidance. It was quite a scene, and there was room only at the bar, which ended up being the best seat in the house! We had a great dinner of baked sole (me) and mussels (ken) before wandering back to our cozy hotel.

... monumental.
-we pedaled on and left the coast for cute canal scenery. Similar to what we saw when we left Amsterdam. We crossed into Belgium, sadly without a sign. We were going to just finish out the ride when 6kms from Brugge, a little cafe in Damme called to us. We had a nice snack and refueled. It was a good stop rather than just grinding through.

The woman asked what was wrong and I explained our train was boarding... she finally began to hustle a bit. ... beer the best! We then had a late lunch and early dinner and headed back to do some washing. We'd planned to go out and have a drink, but we only made it to the town square where we sat against the monument and ate waffles whilst the world went by. Very pleasant evening.
