    ... br> As you may recall, the beloved fall foliage is a little late this year, we are talking about approx. 2 weeks. At this point we are at Peak Season, the colors are popping and are stunningly beautiful. At least that's the case up here in the Northern parts of New England, the Southern areas are still about 1 week behind.

    ... offering us a pine needle cushion, but mostly it was tree roots and boulder face. Pretty scary were the ledges with sheer drop offs to the valley below. And the views! Wow! The color is close to peak!

    ... that we can approximate the number by counting one square foot of leaves and then estimating how far we have walked and the width of the trail. Just then we noticed a slight breeze and leaves were falling, some bumping into branches before continuing on along their descent. As we gaze in wonder, we find a little bit of magic!
