... not be ready for another hour, so we sat in front of a large roaring fire and had a coffee. It was perfect. An enormous fire in a huge chalet style galleried sitting room was open yet friendly.
When the receptionist came over to say our room was ready, we got our cases out of the car.

... food in they were jumping about everywhere. Jessie managed to try and distract a few of them whilst I put food into their cages but that only worked for a few seconds. We finished for lunch at 11am and made some homemade pizza which turned out quite good if we do say so ourselves. This morning we had our first lie in since we've been here. The cover over the RV windows made us feel like it was pitch black so we got up at 10am with the feeling it was still dark. Most of the other volunteers had their day off today too but some stayed in bed most of the day and others just relaxed in the kitchen. ... cover for the old stove spot, and I’m now using the oven shelves as storage. Improved my kitchen work-space a lot. It is still a tiny space, but it feels a lot more open. Yay!
