... 5pm so it was good to have more people in the house! We made homemade beef burgers and wedges for dinner and earlier in the day we'd baked lots of bread and a dessert for Lena because she was leaving in the morning. After some peach cobbler made by Jessie we went into the living room for another VHS. This time it was a classic, Indiana ...

Today we went to a lake which we've forgotten the name of with Sif, Rikki, Xavier and Alena, his girlfriend who has just arrived. It was a two hour drive and on the way we went through Napa Valley and stopped off to have a walk around Napa Downtown. After the tour we headed back to RustRidge to see the dogs and relax by pool. We went to visit the horses on the ranch before heading back to our cottage. We cooked dinner in the evening for the first and only time on our trip. We then wandered down to the main house for a another game of Lords of Waterdeep and some lovely glasses of RustRidge wine.

... be mostly done. These are the two biggest projects, so the rest should go much quicker.

My pear tree and my plum trees went crazy this year, and I have both fruits in abundance. I can only eat so much of it, but luckily the deer and raccoons are helping out. The pears have a fungus that makes them fall early (although they are still edible, in fact delish!), so the critters come by and feast every night once the humans nod off. When I am up here regularly I will address ...
