    I should probably explain. We didn't literally take a bath in hot rotten eggs, we bathed in warm 37 degree water heated by sulphur gas from one of Italy's volcanoes. So it did kind of smell like we were bathing in hot rotten eggs but boy was it nice. Let me back up a bit.     ... nights here instead of one. Having a walled town, a beach, a lovely pool to swim in seemed to sway me.     ... but we could travel up by lift and then walk a little to our very old but very quaint hotel where they had a welcome glass of white wine waiting. This area is known for its white wine so I enjoyed! We did not join our tour director for orientation but went exploring on our own to see the magnificent Basillica.
