Day 10 Stayed in Vancouver
... I saved a bit by not eating in an actual restaurant. Original plan was to spend the evening walking around Gastown but I just didn't have the energy!
Just one picture to share and that's the one they took of me going down the first zipline. They of course charged for the picture but at $10 for the first and $5 for the second (group shot I didn't include here) plus a free digital copy, it's not too bad. ... Nanaimo where we were to catch the ferry to the mainland, we came across a most impressive stretch of rainforest called Cathedral Grove. It is a magical, mystical place. Douglas fir trees, some over 800 years old, tower over the visitors. At 76 metres tall, one Douglas fir tree is taller than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was already 300 years old when Columbus sailed here in 1492!! All we could do was wander around the trail, heads ...
